Overview of Solutions for the Elevator Industry Bending Machine

In the elevator manufacturing industry, bending machines are essential equipment. Whether for elevator doors, interior decorative parts, or key structural components such as frames and supports, bending machines ensure precise metal forming, boosting both production efficiency and product quality. Based on the materials, thickness, and dimensions of various components, bending machine specifications (tonnage or bending length) used in the elevator industry vary. Below is a detailed analysis of bending machine requirements for common elevator components.

1. Elevator Door Panels

Elevator door panels, including landing and car doors, are some of the most visible parts of an elevator. They are usually made of 1-2 mm thick stainless steel or cold-rolled steel and require high bending precision to ensure a smooth surface and safety. These parts are relatively large and typically require 100-200 tons of bending force, with bending lengths adjusted to panel width, often between 1.5 and 2.5 meters. This tonnage provides sufficient pressure and ensures processing stability.

2. Car Wall Panels

Car wall panels serve a decorative and protective function. They are generally made from 1-1.5 mm thick metal sheets, often stainless steel or galvanized steel. Bending makes these panels sturdier and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the elevator interior. With their thin sheets, these parts require lower tonnage, typically 50-100 tons. The bending length is around 1.5 meters, depending on panel height.

3. Guide Rail Brackets and Reinforcements

Guide rail brackets and reinforcements are essential structural components for elevator safety. They are usually made from 3-5 mm thick steel, requiring high strength to support the elevator's guide rail system and handle significant weight and impact. Typically, a 200-ton or higher capacity bending machine is necessary to ensure strength and precision. Bending lengths vary by bracket size, generally around 1 meter.

4. Frames and Base Plates

The elevator’s frame and base plates are foundational structures that support the car, passengers, and various equipment, requiring highly precise bending. Frames and base plates are generally made from 3-6 mm thick steel sheets, needing a high-tonnage bending machine for processing. 200-300 tons of bending force is usually required to ensure adequate pressure and accuracy. Bending lengths are larger, reaching 2-3 meters based on base plate width.

5. Control Cabinet Enclosures

The control cabinet enclosure, typically made from 1-2 mm thick cold-rolled or stainless steel sheets, mainly protects the internal control system. Although it does not require high strength, it does demand high bending precision to ensure stability and aesthetics. An 80-100 ton bending machine is usually sufficient for this purpose, with a bending length around 1 meter.

6. Decorative Components

Decorative components include elevator handrails, corner trims, and frames, which enhance the visual quality of the elevator interior and improve user experience. Decorative parts are usually thin, between 0.8-1.2 mm, and often made from stainless steel or aluminum. A lower tonnage of 50-80 tons is generally sufficient. The bending length varies according to the size of the component, generally ranging from 0.5 to 1 meter.

In summary, the required tonnage for bending machines in the elevator industry ranges from 50 tons to 300 tons, with bending lengths adjusted according to specific components. Elevator manufacturers typically configure machines of various tonnages and specifications to meet diverse production needs. Selecting the right bending machine not only improves production efficiency but also ensures product safety and durability, thereby enhancing overall quality standards.
